A Glance at My Top Spotify Songs 2022

in no particular order

One of the things I always looked forward to at the end of a year was peaking at my Spotify Wrapped playlist. For those who are unfamiliar, Spotify Wrapped provides a visual representation of the songs, artists, genres, and podcasts they listened to the most from January 1 to October 31 and in my opinion, one of the wittiest and most creative advertisement campaigns by a music application.

I never considered myself a music connoisseur, though I have always appreciated the arts and gone out of my way to expose myself to different styles that may be out of my comfort zone. I wanted to make this post to share my taste, not because I think it is particularly unique or shocking, but because it may get someone into a song they did not consider getting into before.

I personally always tend to look up the meaning behind my favorite songs. I find that is one of the biggest contributors to how often I end up playing the song. I decided against putting my interpretations, however, I encourage you to listen to the music first and form your own conclusion or further your research of the meaning of each song.

So, I know this was all over the place. There is so much that I could say about each song that this post would take way too long to read if I actually included commentary. These are just a few songs that were in my top songs of the year, some of which were a part of my previous top playlists as well. It was so hard picking just a few, but I hope at least one of them were able to bring you as much joy and maybe even some escapism as they have brought me through the year.

I have not played as much music this year as I would like to, so I think I will try to make more time for that. Yes, I think that will be good for me.

Anyways, I think that's enough thinking, so that's all — for now.
